Hey guys! Happy Monday! Normally I would be doing a Monday Made it but I have been so busy with this annoying Stats class, I did not have time to get all my made-its together!
Anyway, I am going to keep this short today! For those of you who do not know, I have a daughter who just turned 13 (OMG I still cannot believe that!). Isn't she adorable?
So yes, this was our life. Then I (obviously) got married ...just this past April and SURPRISE! Baby #2 coming in January!
I never thought I would have another child and especially 13 years later but it's happening and we are super excited!
I am also really nervous!
When I had my daughter, I was not a teacher yet. I am really a control freak in my classroom... like to the point where I hate to even be out for one day! So, now that I will have to take maternity leave and be out for a couple months, I am getting really freaked out!
I also use Whole Brain Teaching (if you didn't already know) so I am scared about that too! If I get my kids where I want them but then they go 2 months or more without WBT, I am not sure what will happen! So far, I do not know of any good long-term subs who would be willing to learn about WBT.
I have been the only one doing WBT in my area for 2 years but trying to spread the word! We finally had a conference here in July and we had a good turn out! However, none of the people that came were subs :)
Besides the WBT thing, I also need to know how else to prepare?! I am trying to get my monthly curriculum in order and found this awesome FREEBIE from First Grade Made so I plan to have that ready! (Even though I don't even have September done yet!)
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! You can leave a comment below & then enter the Rafflecopter for a $10 TpT Store Credit to my store Fab in First!
One more thing!
My city always runs the "Best of" competition every year. Last year I came in 2nd place for teachers! I would love to place again this year!
